Log Files

The CaptureGRID application records a log file about what the app is doing, and what errors it encounters. When reporting issues, it’s useful to provide the log as this helps diagnose whats going wrong.

There are two log files called:

capturegrid4_log.txt
capturegrid4_history.txt

To locate where these are stored, click Help -> Locate Log File in the app’s top menu bar. This will open a file browser window in the correct directory.

On Windows, this will be somewhere like:

C:\Users\francis\AppData\Roaming\CaptureGRID 4

On macOS, this will be somewhere like:

/Users/francis/Library/Application Support/CaptureGRID 4
